Two staff members of #Israel’s #embassy in Washington, DC, were shot dead outside the district's Capital #JewishMuseum late Wed night, ofcls said.
The suspect shouted “Free, free Palestine” while in police custody & “implied” that he committed the #shooting, Washington Police Chief Pamela Smith said. He was identified as Elias Rodriguez, in his early 30s, of Chicago.

My friend Ewa sent me some photos of an exhibition in Kraków, Poland, celebrating Helena Rubenstein. She got her start in the beauty business after migrating in 1902 from Kraków (then in the Austro-Hungarian Empire) to Melbourne, Australia. A photo in the exhibition shows the location of her original salon on Elizabeth Street, and it’s taken almost exactly from where my apartment building is. Neat coincidence.
