  2. 24 hours later and I’m overwhelmed in the most beautiful way 🤍

Everything I spoke about in the interview you gave right back to me.

    So many messages. Emails. Stories.
From starting over in careers and relationships, to fighting health battles, learning languages, relocating, and so much more.

Your words of encouragement, support, understanding, and love, I felt all of it. It filled my heart and added even more fuel to my passion for creating, teaching, and sharing Hebrew language and culture with you.

This space we’ve built together is something I don’t take for granted. I feel it. I value it. I’m so grateful for each of you in it.

If you’ve already watched, thank you for giving so much of yourselves. If you haven’t yet, I invite you to watch. This one is personal.

I woke up today feeling the warmth of humanity. Todah Rabah.

  7. Lolwhut? JewBots? New Austin Powers movie must be coming out. ☠️

"#EnerJew, the #FSU #Jewish #youth movement, has introduced a new #digitaloutreach tool designed to deepen Jewish engagement among thousands of #teenagers across the region. Through an advanced interactive #bot system, the organization is creating new ways for young #Jews to connect with their heritage, traditions, and values—reaching even those in remote communities.

The initiative marks the first time EnerJew has implemented a personal bot format within its programming. Through the platform, each participant can access content directly from their phone, learn practical aspects of #Jewishlife, and actively track their participation in various challenges and activities."

Some of his #photographs appeared in the earliest issues of #Moment. Join #Aron for a conversation about his latest endeavor, The World in Front of Me: A Bill Aron Retrospective and accompanying #podcast, co-curated with the American Jewish #Historical Society.

The retrospective showcases his work from the #AmericanSouth, #LosAngeles and #NewYork to the #SovietUnion, #Cuba and #Jerusalem. Aron reflects on how documenting Jewish life became his life’s work, how he chose the communities he #photographed, how he got to know his subjects, and over the years what changes he has witnessed in the Jewish world through the lens of his #camera.

In conversation with Moment #Arts and Articles Editor #DianeBolz. Co-sponsored by #AJHS."

  11. Josephine Sarah "Sadie" Earp (née Marcus; 1861 – 1944)

She was the wife of Wyatt Earp the famed Old West lawman. She met Wyatt in 1881 in the frontier town of Tombstone, Arizona, when she was living with Johnny Behan, sheriff of Cochise County, Arizona. She left Behan, who was nearly twice her age, in 1881, before the gunfight at the O.K. Corral. She returned to San Francisco in March 1882 and was joined that fall by Wyatt, with whom she remained for 46 years until his death in 1929. Josephine Earp had his body cremated and buried him in the Marcus family plot in a Jewish cemetery

Josephine Marcus was born in New York to a Jewish family. They moved to San Francisco, where she attended dance school as a girl. She ran away as a young teen traveling to Arizona looking for adventure. Sadie kept this period of her life a secret but there js evidence that she may have been forced to work as a prostitute under the name Sadie Mansfield. She described this period as 'A bad dream'.

The book I Married Wyatt Earp (1967), is based on a manuscript allegedly written in part by her.

These were only given to prisoners at the Auschwitz concentration camp, and only to those selected to work, rather than those murdered in the gas chambers. She survived.

  24. Is this you? 🙄

Have you ever felt like Hebrew just wasn’t clicking, despite your best efforts?

Or maybe someone taught you Hebrew in a way that left you feeling stuck, as if reaching fluency was out of reach?

Let me tell you — there is nothing to be ashamed of.

I see it all the time!

Students who thought they “didn’t have what it takes” to succeed in Hebrew, simply because the methods they were taught weren’t the right fit for them

That’s on the method (or the guide), not on you

The truth is, I have thousands of students around the globe who’ve shown themselves (and me!) that anyone can learn Hebrew!

Whether you want to speak, read, write, or all three

There’s no such thing as -

⛔️ “too old to learn a language”

⛔️ “too much of an accent”

    ⛔️ “not a language person”

✅️ It’s all about having the right guide and the right method

With a supportive, clear path forward, you’ll see that you can thrive in Hebrew

    Let me show you how!

  30. Budapest, 1946. A wedding party at the Kazinczy Street orthodox Jewish Center. Although not necessarily visible in this photo, I feel an immense sadness must have prevailed at this wedding. Some 564,000 Jewish Hungarians were murdered between 1941 and 1945. Every single person in this photos would have lost family and friends and their absence from this wedding, must have been a source of great sorrow.
