20 years ago we had Jet Set Willy Online, a multiplayer version of the classic ZX Spectrum game.

Now we have the release of a brand new multiplayer Willy game, Jet Set Willy Redux with builds for Windows, Mac, Linux, Steamdeck and Raspberry Pi.

I didn't have anything to do with this one, although it has long been a dream of mine. I just suggested a 'colour clash' display mode.

Me sorprende como en la #retrogamer inglesa (de la q soy subscriptor desde el numero 40 y poco) cuando tratan al #zxspectrum ignoran casi completamente los juegos que no son ingleses.
Una de dos: o x desconocimiento (usea q no hay ningún usuario experto en sus filas cosa q me extraña) o xq es lo q vende: su nostalgia.

No recuerdo ningún numero con un amplio reportaje de los juegos hechos en x ejemplo apaña... Cosa q del jodio #jetsetwilly sale hasta en la sopa! 🤣🤣🤣

Forgot about this, I think I first learned of Jet Set Willy SE (Scrolling Edition) over on the bird site, came across this again today. What’s amazing to me are all the music variations on the in-game music I created for the Amstrad CPC version that are showcased on the linked video. 1984 Steve had no idea that almost 40 years later, the tune I created late one night sitting alone in the terraced house on Holt Road in Birkenhead using my trusty Casio would be taken and used to create all these variants. #JetSetWilly #Music

Today's sort of #retrogaming on the #ZXSpectrum #JetSetWilly BUT #JonathanCauldwell has created a 16K version of this classic, with only a few tiny changes. This is wonderful and shows just how much you can pack into 16K!

I'm currently playing through the Gamecube version of Pikmin 2 on my Steam Deck; a game that still looks and plays great today, nearly 20 (!) years after its release. 20 years before that I would have been marveling at Jet Set Willy on the Speccy!
