Venus in Furs (AKA Paroxismus) from 1969 is one of Jess Franco’s most satisfying films. It’s a dream-like hallucinogenic movie that plays havoc with reality and illusion.

Franco was a jazz aficionado and was interested in the idea of structuring movies like jazz improvisations.

Stars James Darren and Maria Rohm. Superb movie.

I'm taking it easy with spending money at the moment, because ya know...

But I couldn't stop myself and ordered Severin Films blu-ray of Jess Franco's Faceless, which is a superb, kitchy, gory and fun the on Eyes Without a Face. The soundtrack, consisting of extremely catchy European pop songs is also fab!

As a bonus I also added a damaged slipcover to the same film, signed by Brigitte Lahaie.
