"Leather and Lace" is a song performed by #StevieNicks and #DonHenley. It was released on October 6, 1981, as the second #single from Nicks' solo debut studio album #BellaDonna (1981). Nicks and Henley were romantically involved from 1977 until 1978. Nicks wrote the song for #WaylonJennings and #JessiColter's duet album #LeatherAndLace, but the song was not included. Jennings still intended to use the song for his solo work.

Musical Interlude: I'm a longtime fan of Los Straitjackets, having picked up their first CD because I was intrigued by their name. (True story.) Known for fierce instrumental surf/spy guitar, they've dabbled in vocal music from time to time, including this cover of a Jessi Colter song. I groove to the backing vocals whenever I listen to it.
