Jersey Rethinks Petrol Car Phase-Out Amidst Public Pushback

Jersey will not ban used petrol and diesel car imports in 2030. Environment Minister Steve Luce changed the plan to keep cars affordable for all island residents.

Jersey has changed its transport plan after hearing from over 200 people. This is a big shift from the original goal to stop all petrol car imports by 2030.

The mooring ropes have been cast off and my journey to Channel Islands Pride has begun! This year it's hosted in Jersey (it alternates between Jersey and Guernsey) so I'm taking a ferry.

Some of the related events are booked up, but I'm not sure they'd have been up my street - I'm mostly hoping to soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the food and vibes.

Is anyone else going? If so, it would be great to say hello :)
