#Firefox just keeps getting worse.
I don't know exactly which version this started with, but for the last few months Firefox has been a #CPU hog for me. Even when not interacting with any browser windows, the CPU usage of various processes - the main firefox #process, the content-sandboxing #processes, the WebExtension processes - will be taking significant CPU in bursts. There's frequently an Isolate... process using ~100%, and the main process will sit at 90% for a while before jumping to 160%.
It's significant enough that it makes actually using the #browser #annoying. Pauses for one or two seconds while typing or scrolling as it does ... whatever it's doing while chewing CPU, and these happen every few seconds. Like 3 or 4 times for each line I'm typing in this window right now.
There's nothing obvious to account for this workload. There are no videos playing, or animations, or sound. There are no continuously-updating pages or web apps running. I have uBlock Origin (adblocker) and Privacy Badger running, which significantly reduces the amount of work the browser does because there's no ad scripts to screw around in the background. The only thing I'm actively doing in Firefox at the moment is typing this toot. And yet still it pauses constantly.

I have developed a habit of buying different sticks of meat from gas stations / dollar stores / convenience stores.
It’s always ‘just in case I get hungry later’ but it’s usually a mistake as they just make my stomach gurgle.
Oh sketchy meat stick. A toxic relationship filled with pain and regret.

my #body is only around 20% #water compared to the regular human. I #dehydrated most of my limbs and torso like beef #jerky. I am more dense and tastier than ever

The first #sourdough #bread loaf came out ok. Not as sour as I would have preferred but I figured out how to fix that.
I always hated just throwing away the discard and didn't want a long recipe to use with it. A quick search found this super easy cracker #recipe with no fuss.
Bonus: I used some of the #cajun #seasoning I picked up in #NewOrleans where I bought my kid some #alligator #jerky.

The #jerky , of which there is an entire wall, was pretty good as far as those things go, but there's a company in Pennsylvania that makes it better...I think they're just outside Philadelphia, IIRC. I should find the name of that brand again. I think they sell through #Wawa . -

The ‘24 #PrideofDakota holiday parcel is about to be wrapped. I skipped the drink mixes this yr (less $) & focused more on making it a #snackbox. The sumac #bison #jerky is sold by a Chippewa/Métis business. I also included a #soap & #bergamot #chapstick along w/a #Swedish Dakotan #Dala #horse #sticker. Were the gifts w/in budget? Maybe.The brownie chow was the most $. The lighter wt this yr reduces shipping costs. I need time to send the parcel.
