She refuted that, but also noted that she disagrees with some of Carney's recent more restrictive policy on immigration ("blaming newcomers for failed government policy is wrong"). Further, she stated she feels the US can no longer be considered a safe third country for refugees, and thus favours doing away with the Canada–U.S. Safe Third Country Agreement.
