Our last day on the lovely island of Jeju. It's a complete contrast to the bright lights of Seoul & to be honest, a little too quiet for me. But I'd definitely return.
We visited the Cheonjiyeon Waterfalls on the south side of the island. Relaxing.

It has to be said that you wouldn't go hungry in South Korea. The food is exceptionally high quality and varied in taste. So today, instead of a main meal in a restaurant, we decided to try some street food at the local market.
We were not disappointed! So much variety and very reasonable prices.

Day 15. Jeju, South Korea.
20 June 2025.
Our daughter has now officially finished her years placement at Jeju Uni. She's naturally upset but happy she had the chance.
Now it's time to pack. Unsurprisingly she's got more stuff than she can carry so we start packing boxes to ship back to England.
At night we visit a restaurant she frequents, she calls the owner "Aunty". We have Jeongol (hot pot) which was so good!
The tears flow plenty from Aunty & daughter!

Day 14. Jeju, South Korea.
19 June 2025.
We both fancy a long walk today, so I look at the map and see the beach is about 90 mins walk away. In this heat, with a couple of breaks, it takes 2 hours. It's very quiet and peaceful. Mongdol Beach has lots of lava rocks which look fascinating. We then find a Buddhist shrine. The surroundings are just perfect.

Day 13. Jeju, South Korea.
18 June 2025.
It's an early start today with a new city to explore. We're actually staying a 20 mins bus ride away from the city, in a hotel surrounded by farmland. It's quiet.. a bit too quiet for me to be honest.
We arrive in the city and just wander. For a city on the coast, it's so green. Peaceful.
Our daughter arrives later on for a meal in a lovely little restaurant. She has one week left at university.

A non eventful day, mid afternoon 70 mins flight to Jeju from Incheon, arrived at the hotel and settled down for the evening after a Korean BBQ meal.
Jeju is a volcanic island, very green and ideal for walking trips.
