You know I've no idea whether #JeffreyDonaldson is guilty or innocent of what he is accused of. But I wonder why he didn't take "gardening leave" whilst the matter took it's course in the courts and for a decision to be made on his leadership when that was resolved

The DUP said: "The party chairman has received a letter from Sir Jeffrey Donaldson MP confirming that he has been charged with *allegations of an historical nature* and indicating that he is stepping down as leader of the Democratic Unionist Party with immediate effect".

“...the people of #NorthernIreland will continue to vote to remain part of the sixth largest economy in the world”.

Except that post-Brexit UK is slipping down the rankings, Germany alone is the fourth largest economy, and the EU economy taken as a whole is only exceeded by the US.

So, on economic grounds alone, why would the people of Northern Ireland not vote to join the *second largest* economy in the world? #UnitedIreland
