#Pasta was the very first #kDrama I ever dropped, way back in 2013 and I made it to halfway through #JealousyIncarnate before my deep and abiding allergy to Gong Hyo Jin forced me to drop it too.
When I started watching #kDrama 16 was SHORT - 20-24 was the norm.
I do agree that that there isn't an automatic infallible "shorter is better" - two of my all-time favourite Dramas are #kDrama weekenders of 40 and 54 episodes respectively., shown in the attached screenshot. It lists the 49 #kDRama I've score >8.5/10 with episode count and total runtime. That latter is important because many recent "short" #kDrama have fewer episodes but they are very long episodes. Which I loathe.

Back to "Dare to Dream" / "Jealousy Incarnate." I put this one on hold for a while because I hated the character of the FL.
She was stupid & whiny & crying through the first 10ish episodes. Then her behavior was terrible in the next 3, so I paused.
I was thinking it was only 16 eps. so why not just finish the last 3 & be done. Half way through eps 15 the whole thing takes a really unexpected turn and not believing that they could wrap this up in 1 1/2 episodes now, I checked. It's **24** episodes! But at least the FL's character has improved a LOT & the story is quite interesting & unexpected now.
At eps 18 now & I'm glad I didn't give up!

The FL's character in "Don't Dare to Dream" / "Jealousy Incarnate" is so awful (thru eps 13 / 24) that I can't stand when she's on the screen - how can a person be so clueless?
It is so bad that it was going to be the 1st drama that I drop. But I went & read reviews & so many people loved it that I think I'm going to resort to fast-forwarding.
I've seen this actress in "When the Camellia Blooms" & in "It's Okay That's Love" & although she grew on me a bit in the last one, I didn't particularly love her in either - she picks annoying characters (or makes them that way).
