  1. The solution? Games should be marketed as product or licenses.

    If that's a license, then you should expect revocation by fair terms (cheating, time, support etc.).

    License or not, revoking a license should mean the publisher must keep its functionality without its involvement.

    The online is part of the license you paid full price for.

  2. I think Jason has right in another point: games selling as licenses, but marketed as products.

    The problem of games is that licenses are a bad practice. License revocation is enforced when cheating.

    And that is other problem: destroying part of the product remotely.

  3. The problem with Jason point of view is that is very #anticonsumer.

    If the game "I expect" to be online only, dies a month later, then I would expect my money gone? A refund?

    I think this is a case of tunnel vision.

    At least I think he is right in one point: this petition has to be more specific, otherwise it may have colateral damage.
