"Too many broken hearts" - Jason Donovan
This video might be the best thing ever to come out of Beechwood in Victoria.
Simple singalong tunes are the best. "Too many broken hearts" was written for Jason Donovan's voice, that's why it has a really small range, and that's why it's one of my karaoke favourites. Jason's limited range is further concealed by the backing vocalists, who basically carry the whole chorus.

The best 4.2 seconds of the entire show, the guitar-and-drum introduction. Then we get a video with Jason walking round the outback, standing on a mountain top, chopping wood, and locking eyes with a cute young woman riding a horse.
After seeing this video, the Musician's Union wrote Jason a stroppy letter, because you're only supposed to mime playing the guitar if you can actually play the guitar. Ditto singing.

For the 1989 Brits cycle, Jason Donovan was treated as a British performer, almost got nominated in "Best British Bloke" and "Best British Single".
Would he have beaten the winner in either category? Doubt it; Phil Collins was too popular amongst the "great" and the "good" of the "industry".

Naaah, all we want is for Jason to find the camera, look through his foppish fringe, and make a million viewers go all a-googlie. The rest of us can enjoy the camera doing a slow pirouette round Jase during the chorus.
