@NatureMC Since the day I read the first book in the Zoey Ashe series, I've been dreading this, and puzzled at how it isn't real yet. I mean, some cryptobros tried and failed instantly, but sooner or later it has to succeed, at least for a while, until the "city" collapses, I hope.

Pargin isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I like how he saw all of this coming, and the cover artworks on his books are amazing

I was today years old when I realized that #TikTok has a "guest view" (because there's exactly one TikTok'er I've ever seen who I would actually like to follow #JasonPargin) & I just wanna say: They are NOT selling their platform well.

I can imagine the occasional post that I'd enjoy but there's absolutely no way it's worth volunteering my eyeballs to this deluge of irrelevant, time-wasting nonsense.

As usual, #JasonPargin hits the nail right on the head - and as often, the thing he nails so well maybe, probably shouldn't exist.

Note that his argument that you have to be a #celeb to do anything these days is only right because of #SiliconValley's business models. Yes, there's a direct line back through #history but just like #religion has waned as a dominant force by taking power away from churces, celeb #culture would be far less powerful without #SoMe & Google.
