  4. I hit a couple of snags trying to add a JSON Feed (RSS but in JSON) to a new site I'm building with the Zola static site compiler yesterday. I was able to come up with a neat solution using jaq/jq. Details in this post: wezm.net/v2/posts/2024/json-fe

  9. jq 的開發狀況

在 Hacker News 上看到「Jaq – A jq clone focused on correctness, speed, and simplicity (github.com/01mf02)」這篇的時候,倒不是 jaq 本身如何,而是在 id=38465712 裡面提到了 jq 的發展停滯了五年左右,但最近又恢復了:

Well, taking into account that jq development has been halted for 5 years and only recently revived again, it's no wonder that bug repo

  19. I'm genuinely surprised by how much I'm enjoying programming in the #jq / #jaq languages.

My most-urgent concern now lies in how much to lock in to jq or jaq. :)

  24. @musicmatze Not trying to offend, please don't take it personally. But that was also my personal impression until I read the manual. Not claiming that you didn't. Just in case.
Check out #jaq btw. for a Rust clone :D

  29. is in Rust, with much higher performance 🚀

Very powerful for dealing with JSON!

  30. CW: #jq / #jaq syntax question

I'm reimplmenting join() for an array in #jq / #jaq. Can I do better? Is there a library function I'm missing?

  35. @adymitruk Maybe. I might be stuck in a particular way of thinking.

I'm thinking, for example, about having a standard way to parse text as monetary amounts. I'll want to do that the same way in various projects, but right now, I seem forced to duplicate that.

Moreover, I'd rather not be forced to "drop out" of #jaq to run a #zsh script to do that.
