I'm genuinely surprised by how much I'm enjoying programming in the #jq / #jaq languages.

My most-urgent concern now lies in how much to lock in to jq or jaq. :)

@adymitruk Maybe. I might be stuck in a particular way of thinking.

I'm thinking, for example, about having a standard way to parse text as monetary amounts. I'll want to do that the same way in various projects, but right now, I seem forced to duplicate that.

Moreover, I'd rather not be forced to "drop out" of #jaq to run a #zsh script to do that.

I'm starting to notice some code patterns in my use of #jaq and #jq. I'm going to want to extract library functions fairly soon.

Is there some kind of import mechanism for these tools or do I need to build that myself?

Although I don't have a comfortable #TestFirstProgramming / #tdd workflow yet for #jaq / #jq, a comfortable workflow is emerging in which I start by processing a single example, then generalize the algorithm incrementally.

That's almost as good.
