I think this #japonica isn't happy after being planted out from its pot into the garden. Any advice please? #gardening #plants Leaves have gone yellow and the new growth seems to have lost its momentum

I'm unsure what #Japonica species this is. I love the #variegated #speckled #foliage 😍

#Beetles #Invasive so something particularly I learned is that the #popillia #japonica (the invasive #Japanese beetle) will actually pretend to be dead when caught.

or at least that's what I have observed in the few specimens of their species that I have caught manually.

further observations can still be made, placing them inside my #vivarium.

If you can only grow one shrub in your garden, then I would recommend the #Japanese milk tree or #Neoshirakia #japonica.

This example was at #Westonbirt #Arboretum a few years back.

We had taken our house dragon Dimitri along for an outdoor photo shoot, and he simply had to get a picture sitting in it.

Reasonably slow growing and #spectacular in the #autumn.

Today I've made some first quince jam from the fruits of our chaenomeles japonica. It's super tasty and I've even attempted to write its Japanese name (マルメロ) on the glasses. Really not that easy if you've never done it before. Sumimasen deshita, I'm trying my best. :blobcat_mlem:

Summer Geta for Miko. She already has a nice yukata (summer kimono) for when she needs one.
There's a more subdued matching set from the same people who had the neon floral kimonos at Neo Japan, but times are tough & they'll have to wait for another time. #SecondLife #VirtualWorlds #Japonica

Oh the #Japonica event photo ops are coming through on Flickr. I'm so chomping at the bit, but we're long from done exploring everything there is to #SL20B
Tuesday holiday permitting we hope to hop on the YavaScript pod & tour from the station. (We already took their balloon tour)
Remember to get your Pod shirts (2 types) located in a couple of my exhibits & at the Tapestry Of Time. #SecondLife #SecondLifeBirthday #VirtualWorlds https://flickr.com/photos/holocluck/53007127889/

#CamelliaJaponica, also known as the common #camellia, or #JapaneseCamellia, is a flowering plant in the family Theaceae.

There are thousands of cultivars of these things apparently, with many colors and forms of flowers.

Did you know? 🤔

In the U.S. it is sometimes called #japonica.

Hmmmm. Interesting!
