The accuracy of China's COVID data from #January2020 to #October2022 is probably better than most countries.
But most countries set the bar VERY low.
The least accurate data is probably #Turkmenistan or #India or #Russia - but which of those depends how you quantify the inaccuracy.

CW: RE - the first 3 years
For the first 3 years #January2020 to #October2022 I've seen no evidence of substantial under-reporting of #CovidDeaths in #China
In early 2020 there was no way to test for the #SARScov2 virus itself (diagnosis was by symptoms and a CT scan) so there would be quite a few misdiagnosed deaths before and during the initial #Lockdown in the #PRC but I've seen nothing to indicate they were missed intentionally.(cc @[email protected] @[email protected] other mes)
