    You'd swear this was a lagoon in the South Pacific. It's northern Sweden.
    Turquoise water over flat slate ledges near Gäddede in Jämtland — no palms, no reef, just birch and moss on the cliff above and a current cold enough to steal your breath.

    Just returned from a ski tour through western Jämtland. Started from from Storulvån and did a loop of nearly 100km past Sylarna, Helags, Vålådalen and back. Partially off trail. Conditions were ok‘ish. Quite stormy at times. Not a lot of snow and lots of ice.
