特朗普的崛起是对GOP自身所撕开的危险缺口，它证明了民粹主义的能量，而现在整个GOP都开始饮鸩止渴。选民们会老去、新世代的极右翼是极其毒性的白人至上和incel，现在GOP培养的新生代候选人 #JamesBowman 在各项政策主张上都比特朗普更加极端和激进。

如前嘟文所述，保守派的「保守」绝非是恒定静止的，它是社会在面对不断涌现的新挑战时的重要选择之一，它要为存世、为活在此刻的生者据守一方生存空间。GOP现在不断右移和极端化的政治路线恰恰是抛弃了这一点，因为「往回倒」绝不等同于「持守不变」。GOP自身也会因不断失去温和和新世代票仓而崩解与极化，走向作为政党的必然消亡。这留下了一个巨大的真空，而这只能（也将由）一个新生的、继承共和传统的党派TOR来填补。
