Around lockdown I got my bestie into Star Trek for the first time, binge watching selections of episodes from across the franchise every evening together online.
As a woman of culture, she naturally gravitated DS9 and as a baby queer not quite out of the closet she naturally fell madly in love with Jadzia. It took only her 4 months since being introduced to the series to cosplay as Jadzia (with hand drawn spots). She was so in love with that badass queer science gal.

I took DS9 slowly, as she had no idea what would happen at the end of season 6. I knew it would hit her hard as she had fallen in love... And it did hit hard.
In preparation for the day I had got her an autographed photo of Jadzia, framed with a black mourning ribbon. She turned it into a shrine to remember her beloved gay worm lady. It had pride of place watching over her room.

Fast forward a few years and my friend now moves in with her new girlfriend. The girlfriend has not watched DS9 at all and finds the dead worm lady picture weird. Jadzia is forced to be relegated out of view too... I can barely say it... Jadzia, our confident pansexual genderqueer ICON, was now stuck inside a CLOSET!
They have just got engaged! :lgbtq_flag: I'm very happy for them, however Jadzia is still in the closet... So...
I am herby raising funds to hire Terry Farrel to turn up in the middle of their wedding, burst through the doors with a bat'leth in her hand and shout "No, don't do it! It's me you want not her!"

@quark I read a YouTube comment that suggested a #DoctorWho like show using the #Dax symbiont. We've only seen the last part of #JadziaDax's and the first part of #EzriaDax's lives, and fragments of some of the others, but there's room for plenty more. I agree with them that it would be an interesting way to show the development of the #UnitedFederationOfPlanets throughout the centuries. (Though apparently #Trill's status as #UFP member is uncertain: https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Talk:Trill)
