We're rescuing this #jadeplant from my MIL
๐ข
I would love to get some advice from someone knowledgeable about jades. ๐
It was being kept outside in the shade, so only indirect light. We're in N TX == 100 degrees for the last several weeks. I believe she was watering it very frequently.
The last time I saw it was a couple months ago, and it was gorgeous.
Help! What do? -
Trimming one of my biggest jade plants.
I donโt need more jade plants so time to finding adopitive parents I can trick into owning a jade cutting.

Starbursts of white and pink bloom from the resilient, glossy leaves of the Jade plant.

It's supposed to be a leggy #jadeplant....
1st draft, at least.

About a month ago I left this #jade leaf on top of some dry soil. This is the best picture I could get of it through a loupe. Tiny leaves have started to grow; underneath them are tiny roots.
I would love to see more pictures of #jadeplant and #succulents or just #houseplants

These #jadeplantโs do flower!!
Weโll these healthy, ground dwellers do anyways.
Known as lucky plant, money plant or money tree, it is a succulent plant with small pink or white flowers that are native to the KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape provinces of South Africa, and Mozambique; it is common as a houseplant worldwide.
My houseplant doesnโt flower. Probably because it is root bound and old as heck.
These pink flowers are delightful.

A beloved house plant & symbol of lucky financial success I have watched in dismay as my own jade plants (often received as gifts) do poorly, dropping one crystallized leaf after another, until they're sorry stems. I have seen many many jade plants in many many homes. But I've never seen their flowers, not even in shops. But my friend has the happiest jade plant in the world. Stems as thick as my wrist. And abundant beautiful wee flowers... This is a wealth, immeasurable. #JadePlant #JadeFlower

Hey, people ๐๐ค Anybody know if this self-watering setup is suitable for ALL* types of #plants, including those that don't require daily watering -- like #sansevieria, #pothos, #JadePlant, #MoneyPlant?

@dragfyre
Wait. You mean:
A #picture of a #plant while it is sipping latte and eating biscotti?
And the #photo of the plant is taken while I'm #cycling?
๐Ah, I'm reminded how i used to drive around with my li'l #JadePlant โค๏ธ sitting in a cupholder attached to the aircon vent of the car -- so it could get more sun.
Perhaps I can do that with #LilBlue ๐ฒ ๐ค hmm...
To those who don't know,
long story short:
the jade plant died.Not because of joyrides. ๐
Root rot. ๐ -
CW: re: Pothos ๐ฑ I see white crystals. Now I'm confused.
@seachaint
Oh okay. Thanks ๐When I saw the white stuff on the leaves and the little white crystals, first thing I thought of was salt.
I've had a #JadePlant and my first #pothos die on me too. People say they're easy to care for. Well, they don't know my #YellowThumbs. ๐
Hopefully this one won't die too. ๐คช
-
@Mandaris
Not really. Well... sometimes...
"Are you happy?" while I examine it.
And, "Please don't die." ๐Didn't work with the #JadePlant and the #NJoyPothos. ๐ I talked to the #JadePlant the most because I was taking it out for drives. "We're going for a drive... You're gonna get more sun now."
๐ค Hmm... That one did* last the longest. 3 months, I think. Despite it being a sun lover and not getting much sun. And all the moving wasn't what killed it. It was root rot.

They don't flower often, but when they do, the bees love it! #JadePlant #MoneyTree (ok most of the bees were having a rest when I took this photo!)
