#NewZealand Prime Minister Steps Down
New Zealand’s Prime Minister #Jacinda Ardern, who has led the country since 2017, is #resigning from office. With #emotion in her voice, she told the #press that she would not be seeking reelection. In her resignation #speech, #ardern said the “cumulative challenges” her team has faced has “taken its toll.” Jacinda Ardern’s term as prime minister will conclude no later than February 7.

Isn't that funny, if ironic, that in #politics people that are good at the job often don't want to stay very long, while those who are terrible at it do all they can to cling to power?
