The Mortdale Stake (Sydney Australia) received an email informing them the area had been selected for a Pilot Program named Informed Consent. The email included links to church sites for sources for all the statements. The 1832 account is the earliest known version, written in Joseph Smith’s own handwriting 12 years after the event and there is no other contemporary record from anyone. It was written in a letterbook but never publicly known until the 1960s. This version was removed from the letterbook and hidden in a safe when Joseph Fielding Smith first found it because it was so strange.
