    KORT NIEUWS: HR-docent Claudia zoekt de ware in Winter Vol Liefde

    20 januari 2026 – Claudia Manetsgruber is al 22 jaar verbonden aan de Hogeschool Rotterdam als docent, onderzoeker en coach bij onder andere IvL en de HR Academy. Ze is nu te zien in het nieuwe seizoen van realityprogramma Winter Vol Liefde. Ze ontvangt in haar Oostenrijkse B&B een aantal mannen die naar haar hart dingen.

    Op de website van de hogeschool is te lezen dat Claudia haar loopbaan bij de HR begon als lerarenopleider bij Duits, studieloopbaancoach en assessor. Daarnaast gaf ze de basisopleiding didactiek op de HR Academy. Momenteel is ze inwerk-coach voor nieuwe hogeschoolmedewerkers, didactisch coach en onderzoeker bij het lectoraat Didactiek van hoge verwachtingen.

    Claudia woont sinds een aantal jaar weer in haar ouderlijke huis in Wendling bei Haag in Oostenrijk, dat ze heeft omgetoverd tot kleurrijke Bed & Breakfast.

    Profielen heeft Claudia benaderd voor een interview, maar tijdens de looptijd van het programma is het haar niet toegestaan interviews te geven. Het derde seizoen van Winter Vol Liefde is 5 januari gestart en loopt tot 5 maart, dan wordt de reünie uitgezonden. Even geduld dus nog!

    KORT NIEUWS: Archélia Fonk-van Staalduinen wordt nieuwe directeur IvL 

    5 november 2025 – Archélia Fonk-van Staalduinen wordt per 1 januari 2026 directeur van het Instituut voor Lerarenopleidingen (IvL). Momenteel is zij directeur van Expertisecentrum Maatschappelijke Innovatie (EMI). Fonk-van Staalduinen volgt bij IvL interim-directeur Rolf van der Veer op; zijn opdracht eindigt op 31 december van dit jaar. 

    EMI heeft zich ‘na een lastige periode kunnen herpakken’ onder leiding van Fonk-van Staalduinen, schrijft collegevoorzitter Sarah Wilton-Wels in een Hint-bericht, en zij zal daar ‘lopende projecten afronden’. 

    Maandag werd bekend dat er een reorganisatie zal plaatsvinden op de HR: instituten en kenniscentra gaan op in vijf domeinen. Bij de bekendmaking van het nieuws was nog onduidelijk in welk kennisdomein EMI ondergebracht wordt. Op Hint wordt gemeld dat er plannen zijn gemaakt ‘om EMI door te ontwikkelen tot een krachtig Centre of Expertise. Die ontwikkeling gaat de komende tijd verder vorm krijgen’. Het college van bestuur geeft aan nog na te denken over de opvolging van Fonk-van Staalduinen bij EMI. 

    HR-docent Silvan Floor wint Maritime Achievement Award

    4 november 2025 – Silvan Floor, docent nautische vakken bij het Rotterdam Mainport Institute, heeft op het Maritime Awards Gala een beker mee naar huis genomen.

    De docent was genomineerd voor de Maritime Achievement Award, ‘een erkenning van een maritieme prestatie met maatschappelijke impact en brede publieke zichtbaarheid’. ‘Silvan Floor is een bevlogen docent nautische vakken, geliefd om zijn passie, toewijding en vernieuwende lesmethoden’, vermeldde de gala-website bij zijn nominatie. 

    Gisteren werd tijdens het jaarlijkse gala voor de maritieme sector bekend dat hij de winnaar is. De jury roemt zijn vermogen om studenten te inspireren om zelfstandig te blijven leren in een veranderende praktijk. ‘Een docent die studenten niet snel zullen vergeten’. Dat bleek ook al eerder in de Docent van het Jaar-verkiezing op de Hogeschool Rotterdam.

    Docent Petra Madelon de Graaf halvefinalist op Cameretten-festival

    3 november 2025 – Petra Madelon de Graaf, docent bij instituut CMI, doet mee aan het Cameretten-festival. Bij die jaarlijkse evenement voor cabaret-talent is ze doorgedrongen tot de halve finale.

    De komende weken zijn er in verschillende theaterzalen try outs, gevolgd door de halve finales en de finale op 27, 28 en 29 november in Den Haag.

    In het programma van De Graaf speelt haar verleden, ze verruilde de biblebelt voor de grote stad, een grote rol. Ze onderzoekt, staat op de site van Cameretten, ‘met behulp van Britney Spears of je je wortels wel kan ontvluchten’.

    De Graaf schreef een paar jaar geleden de roman Deere, onder andere gebaseerd op haar eigen ervaring met seksueel misbruik.  De docent was ook een periode blogger voor Profielen.
