funny how after I started buying #music again like from #itunesstore #bandcamp and so on, I have started to listening to full albums again!
Which have let me to rediscover a lot of themes and moods that runs across albums. A thing I had completely forgotten is a thing!
In particular the mood part is important in classical and jazz music.. OMG I had missed this without knowing I missed this.Yes a play list can set a mood. But it is just not the same thing.

State of #music consumption for me in 2025
- Got #Apple Music subscription for the rest of the family, especially the kids. Seems to be how they prefer to listen to music. While the selection is great, I generally hate it (https://info.michael-simons.eu/2025/05/01/beautiful-new-cloud-world-apple-music/)
- Still like the #iTunesStore, great selection, also #DRM free (Sad, I cannot get it without logging into my account with consequences linked above, but saves me money)
- Sometimes I buy MP3 on Amazon
- Still buy CDs, these days a lot on Medimops -

On the Music app on macOS (Sequoia, 15.3.1), it recently started prompting me with a dialog to purchase tracks when I purchase one from the iTunes Store, but I can't remember it ever doing this previously. 🤔
As I recall, I had my setting just right so that it would to the iTunes Store purchases without any kind of confirmation.
Unfortunately, I can't seem to figure out how to get it back in that state, if it's even possible anymore. 🤷🏻♂️

Ich war tatsächlich etwas überrascht, als ich heute herausfand, dass es in Apple Musik einen Haken gibt, mit dem man sich den (alten) iTunes Store wieder einblenden und nutzen kann. Ich bin mir zwar noch nicht ganz sicher für was ich das nutzen könnte, aber es wäre zumindest die Möglichkeit wieder vorhanden über Apple Musik zu kaufen.

2. Why do you care if I am? These are purchased songs from the iTunes Music Store. They’re not Apple Music DRM protected songs. Look at the last column in the screenshot, they’re all Purchased songs!

Apple wprowadzi poprawkę do aplikacji iTunes Store w iOS 17.3, który zadebiutuje dziś lub jutro.
Firma doda użytkownikom dostęp do ich list życzeń dotyczących programów telewizyjnych i filmów, który usunęło w iOS 17.2, iPadOS 17.2 i tvOS 17.2, gdy przenieśli opcję zakupu programów telewizyjnych i filmów z aplikacji iTunes Store do aplikacji TV.
Spotkało się to z niezadowoleniem użytkowników, zatem Apple przywróci wspomniane dostęp do listy życzeń w iOS/iPadOS 17.3.

Apparently #AppleMusic on latest #iOS does not allow me to listen to my (!) music. Original album on compact disc was ripped (“imported”) via #AppleMusic and synced to my #iPhone. Both #AppleMusic subscription and #iTunesStore had never been activate. Behaviour can be reproduced across multiple albums affecting specific songs, not entire albums. WTF #Apple
