@torgeros for sure! There is nothing I disagree with in what you say. It is just that there are many intricate forces and aspects to take into account where it comes to (F)OSS, 'world improvement', and transitioning to a society that is able to live sustainably with its environenment / has a future.

My general argument, I guess, is that we tend to dictate way too many virtues to the fact that something is (F)OSS. Software freedom is a great quality, but only one piece of a larger puzzle.
If we drop the towel after #WorkingInPublic until #ItsFoss we won't be able to let our work bring most benefit to society, in a direction beyond festering #hypercapitalism

Everyone of the participant of the app(new imaginary app) has to allocate some of their storage space say 10 percent and Will be given secure storage some fraction of that.

There is one major concern in self hosting (on your own hardware)a server to run application(take #nextcloud for example), which is backup my data reliably and restore it conveniently, so why not make something which allows me to backup my data to someone else's server.

The article talks about why they switched, and some of the highlights that make EndeavourOS different.
The community has been a HUGE draw for me personally. Very welcoming & helpful. Also, far less Toxic than many Linux communities I've encountered.
