Today, the IT Rules 2021 batch of petitions was listed before the Delhi High Court for hearing. On mentioning, the court took up the matter. Parties have been directed to file their written submissions.
The matter will be taken up next on 17th July 2025.

'Violated Principles of Natural Justice': Caravan Files Petition Against Govt Order On Army Story
In its petition, The Caravan has underlined that the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting's order asking the magazine to take down its article on allegations of torture and murder against the Indian Army also violated the fundamental right to free speech and expression and the freedom of the press.

Union Govt Uses IT Act to Attack Press Freedom, Asks Caravan to Take Down Report
The magazine was told that if it fails to take down an article on the Poonch killings from its website within 24 hours, the entire website would be taken down. Caravan has said it will be challenging the order.
