Het succes van de film The Odyssey heeft ook zijn weerslag op het toerisme. Volgens vakblad Variety is er meer animo voor het Italiaanse eiland Favignana, dat in de film doorgaat voor Ithaka, het eiland van de held Odysseus.

Zuviel (schlechter gemachte) Rückblenden auf Trojas Untergang, zu gravierende Anachronismen (Eiserne Ritterrüstungen der Riesen sowie ein gigantisches, wohl schmiedeeisernes Gitter auf #Ithaka in der Bronzezeit, Gleichsetzung der hellenischen Invasion mit dem Einfall der Seevölker aus einem anderen Jahrhundert...und dann glaubten die #Trojaner auch noch an die gleichen Götter! usw. 🤦‍♂️)

I managed to watch the intimate​ documentary on #JulianAssange -- #Ithaka -- recently. It visually adds to what #NilsMelzer wrote in his comprehensive book #TheTrialofJulianAssange . If you are able to see Ithaka, I highly recommend it, as #Assange 's potential extradition to a deplorable existence in the U.S. prison system will be decided upon, once again, in a few weeks in the UK. Julian needs to return home to #Australia -- he's been through more than enough.
