#itfails today:

- Created a password she can remember for one account for my 85y mother, because Apple insists on making Bitwarden unrecognizable to her on the iPad, and also keeps logging her out of Bitwarden there.

- Taught my daughter to always have a cheap wired mouse in her closet in case the connection to the wireless one needs fixing.

Why are we so still bad at creating usable systems, after all this time?

Man sollte meinen, dass es ja nicht so schwer sein kann ein 🤬 E-Mail Konto zu aktivieren und seinem Mail-Client einzurichten.

IMAP Zugriff hab ich hinbekommen.
Nachdem ich meinen Thunderbird von Javascript & Keksen überzeugt hatte.

SMTP dagegen schlägt immer fehl. 🤷

Internet sagt irgendwie, wenn 2FA aktiv dann App Passwort setzen. Aber ich finds nicht, wo ich das setzen könnte 🫠

oida jetzt ham die bei smart, dem autohersteller, ernsthaft das cert für den login-endpoint expiren lassen? und ich kann jetzt nicht mehr auf mein modernes connected fahrzeug zugreifen, bis das am montag wer feststellt?

einmal mit profis. ich mag da bitte meine eigene infra betreiben können.
