My last round of Chemistry IAs with year 12 are about to commence. I am moving from IB curriculum to A-Level curriculum. Not super happy about it. The IA is a practical component and watching the students problem solve, collaborate and share is a highlight. Draining, and 2 x 10hr days of data collection, but I love it. Honest highlight of my teaching year. #InternationalBaccalaureate #Chemistry #Teacher #ITeachChemistry

With the Molarity simulation, students can qualitatively and quantitatively explore the relationships between the amount of solute, the solution's volume, and its #concentration. https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/molarity/ #iteachchemistry #chemed

⚛️We are excited to announce the publication of Build a Nucleus HTML5!
Students can explore how protons and neutrons affects the nuclear species, the stability of a nucleus, and its possible decay mechanisms.

Learning is not the product of teaching. Learning is the product of the activity of learners.

I am new to #iGCSE #chemistry this year. Where is the best site for me to go to and read up on stuff? I taught #GCSE from 2007-2010, what has changed? #edutooters @edutooters #ITeachChemistry

So I got a rad meme mug as a farewell present today. Seems like my year 11s are still salty about a hard exam I gave them last year. Hopefully the alt text makes sense! #IBchemistry #Iteachchemistry #teacher #mug #meme #photomug #present

My year 12 SL chem class keep telling me, "Miss, you slayy, girlboss."
I don't speak fluent "youth", so I can only assume it is a compliment.

It is week 1 of IA week at school. I have been in the lab with year 12 chemists for 13 and a half hours in 3 days... The lab stays open from 2-5pm so I am doing long days. This year are by far the neediest students we have had in my time at this school. Only a week and a half to go!

Any @edutooters in Bangkok or greater Thailand? I have a chemistry job interview and if it all goes well I guess the family and I are moving there!
