Kia ora. Do any of you watch #ItchyBoots on Youtube? One of the most impressive channels I have come across - a Dutch woman riding the world on her motorbike. A geologist who walked away from her PhD after a set of life circumstances intervening. She is currently heading for the Kyrgyzstan-Chinese border.
Her channel has 3.18 million followers on it, and is possibly the biggest motorbiking channel on Youtube. She is 100% authentic and has a book out about her early days as a transcontinental rider.

I am amazed and delighted that the most famous motorcycle in the world at the moment is named Frankie, ridden by a blond Dutch woman named Loralee. Didn't get around to picking up Itchy Boots' book, so this morning I rode to the bookstore. I was sent to the travel section, but had to call in help to eventually locate the book in the 'hobby - #motorcycle' section.
I'm about one third in and I have to say, it's pretty well written. Couple of lines and typos I thought a good editor should have fixed (having worked at a publisher in a previous life), but very enjoyable.

A moça, depois de ganhar uma grana trabalhando com mineração e após o fim de um relacionamento, caiu no mundo de moto (mas não estradas principais, quase sempre por estradas secundárias, de terra, e já usou vários tipos de moto).
Atualmente está na Ásia com uma Teneré 600 preparada para sobreviver a ausência de mecânicos/eletricistas!
Ela já esteve em lugares que marmanjos que só vão de moto até a padaria nunca iriam!
As temporadas dela, na África, são sensacionais!
Ela já passou pelas Américas e viveu um tempinho no Brasil!

Eu descobri o canal dela na minha preparação para uma viagem solo, numa Virago 250, para o Uruguai.
Não precisa gostar de moto para virar fã da moça! Uma força mental inspiradora!

Das gebrochene Schlüsselbein mit Nervenschäden ist schon fies, aber bei der OP auch noch die Lunge punktiert zu bekommen ist echt das Sahnehaeubchen auf dem 💩 🙈. I'm not much of a traveller and tend to shy away from anything even remotely adventurous. But I enjoy watching the travels and adventures of other people! Noraly aka #itchyboots travelled solo from Patagonia to Alaska on her motorbike, making stunning videos of all her encounters and beautiful landscapes! I've watched them all these past months/years and find her style very soothing. Now she finished her epic journey and summarizes it all in one last epic video:

I enjoyed watching some of the Long Way Round, Long Way Down, etc videos with a pair of guys and their support and planning crew tackling travelling on dirt roads through the wilderness.
Noraly, from The Netherlands, though is tackling similar terrain but completely on her own on a relatively small 250cc bike, and doing all her own video and editing as she moves around. The notorious Sani Pass on the South Africa/Lesotho border is not a pass most of us riders would tackle, yet she goes and does it all on her own.
For the South African leg of the trip she has started amassing a number of followers who are just in sheer awe of her gutsy approach to riding through the wilderness of South Africa, and how she is showing off the amazing scenery and sights along the way.
