@brettspiele Bin auch an #Tausch interessiert. Mögliche Kandidaten wären #ISSVanguard, #Oathsworn, #Agemonia, #SleepingGods (#SchlafendeGötter), bin auch für anderes offen. Deutsche oder englische Versionen sind ok, aber möglichst ohne Minis. Dafür habe ich keine Verwendung.

The godchild bought a copy of #Grimcoven by #AwakenRealms. He brought it along today and I played it for the first time.
I hadn't got it myself, and hadn't really done any research into it, because I tend to not like boss battlers, and also because the one promo video I'd seen of it hadn't convinced me.
Anyway, I think it's very good. Fun, seems to have the right amount of challenge for me (not survival-style), looks cool. Mechanically, you can feel there's inspiration taken from several other games, but that doesn't have to be a bad thing.
Accessibility could be better though, the dice are a step backwards from #ISSVanguard.

First Mission of #ISSVanguard: Deadly Frontier today.
Game feels a bit fresh with a few changes from the base game. Not yet sure if better than Lost Fleet. -

Update on The Great #ISSVanguard Sorting Campaign. I've sorted all the cards. The non-card game components are manageable, there're not that many.
Front is base game stuff, in the back it's Lost Fleet expansion. All card stacks are sorted and checked for completeness.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed with how to deal with sorting through #ISSVanguard and Lost Fleet *and also* setting up Deadly Frontier. 😱🤯😭
This might take days. I might have to reset both games and then start setting up DF from that. I hate that this is suboptimal. It'd take hours less if I knew where everything was. But I need to fully reset in order to be able to find things. -

We finished #ISSVanguard - Lost Fleet today. In my opinion, this expansion didn't quite get the right balance between random bullshit and punishment. Several missions felt like you didn't get enough information to get it right, in combination with not enough time and resources to trial and error through the options you had. Additionally, I feel the designers abandoned their fail forward concept at some point, though that might have happened in the base game already. As for rewards, they become insignificant and don't motivate enough to go on.

Additionally, I feel the designers abandoned their fail forward concept at some point, though that might have happened in the base game already. As for rewards, they become insignificant and don't motivate enough to go on.

Hrm. We're at a point in #ISSVanguard - Lost Fleet that I'm dissatisfied with. The game currently feels, not too difficult, but straight up unfair.
The latest mission wiped out 3/4s of the team, and since it's a rather unique, main plot one, the game continued and the last crew member barely made the mission a success.
My character, in this specific environment, was ignoring all three injuries she had, but the plot made her do a survival check anyway, and she died. Had she survived this one, another would have waited later. As for the other casualties, they had fewer injuries, but were required to make a survival check, too. -

If you go into the last mission of #ISSVanguard (it should be obvious when you're at it), note that it'll take easily twice the time of your usual Planetary Exploration.
