Auckland #ISME20 day -3: got to our flat. Clean but funny smell. We tracked to the stovetop hood. After some initial #decontamination (peanut butter / caramelly substance came off, took us 2 of 4 toilet rolls provided), I dared my fingers deep enough inside to feel for an opening mechanism.
Grills in the dish washer, inside hood clean again. We'll leave a flow chart for the owner to help with avoiding this kind of hazmat situation in the future.
