ISI orchestrates Hamas-Lashkar-Jaish axis to replicate Gaza-style tunnel warfare in Kashmir

New Delhi, Aug 13 (IANS) Pakistan’s military establishment and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) are actively fostering a tactical alliance between Hamas and Pakistan-based terror outfits Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed, intelligence sources and a new security report revealed.
Indian security agencies have repeatedly flagged the emerging links between Hamas and Pakistan-based terror groups in recent months. With Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) already posing a major threat to India, the reported involvement of Hamas has raised fresh concerns.
Indian security officials say that the move to bring Hamas into the picture is part of a well-planned strategy by the Pakistan Army and its intelligence agency, the ISI.
“The growing links between Hamas and outfits such as the Jaish and Lashkar are not aimed solely at carrying out terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir,” the officials warned.

ISI-backed Bhatti network targets UP youth for anti-India social media campaign

New Delhi, July 21 (IANS) The Pakistan-based Shahzad Bhatti network has been using social media extensively to recruit more youth, with Uttar Pradesh emerging as its primary focus. Recent investigations have revealed that the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)-backed network has been scouting for youth in the state by promising them money and power.
Officials say the Bhatti network is attempting to build an army of social media operatives to carry out a massive disinformation campaign against the Indian state. The network seeks to recruit Indian youth who can amplify propaganda and spread disinformation across social media platforms.

New Delhi, July 15 (IANS) For Shehzad Bhatti, the social media has become a major platform to recruit Indians and make them carry out anti-national acts. The police of various states have cracked down on these networks, but as each day passes more such modules are cropping up.
Bhatti who is backed by the ISI has not just been tapping people who are in need of money. There are a variety of persons who are being watched by Bhatti and his aides who are based in Pakistan.
Comments, opinions and content on social media that the people share is being closely monitored by the Bhatti syndicate. There are certain posts where people have made comments or posted their opinion against the establishment or authorities governing it.
An official said that such persons are under Bhatti’s radar and could become potential recruits if not acted upon.
Such persons are being contacted by Bhatti’s aides and once they fall into the trap they are given minor tasks, the official added.

Nun treten sechs Höchstrichter an die Öffentlichkeit und sagen: Der Geheimdienst ISI habe Druck auf Familie und Freunde der Richter ausgeübt, um in ihrem Sinne zu urteilen.
Der Schwager eines Richters sei von "Personen, die sich als Mitarbeiter des ISI ausgaben", entführt und "unter Folter dazu gebracht worden, falsche Behauptungen aufzustellen".
Ein Richter am Obersten Gerichtshof, Athar Minallah, sagte, das Schreiben spreche erstmals öffentlich an, was in Pakistan seit 76 Jahren geschehe: von der militärischen Elite erzwungene Gerichtsurteile.

The area of commercial publishers and rannkings is making itself redundant. I had a look at the #ranking of Journals in my area in #WoS (Web of Science, formerly #ISI) since this subject came up in a meeting. Turns out that the journal our community considers of the least quality (among them where we do publish) has risen to the top position, and one of the two top journals appears in Q2, second quartile. A couple of years ago, this was different. Quantity rules. #elsevier -

It's a popular #hiking destination. There are lots of lovely day #walks and the more #energetic could hike out for a few days or even a few weeks. The Drakensberg Traverse is quite difficult, but for those who have the time, inclination, energy and equipment, this 300km (180 mile) hike is a challenge and a delight.
