@petealexharris @Alternatecelt I think #UKLabour would (as they did under Callaghan) feel that they could rely on secessionist votes while refusing concessions to secession because the alternative would be right wing parties in power. Callaghan couldn't, and that's how we got #Thatcher.
The secessionist parties' position will be strongest if #ReformUKLtd and the #Conservatives do not have sufficient votes to form a governing coalition.

You are claiming one rather unlikely event will be made even less likely by another two even less probable (at least in the short term) events occurring
Both #scottishIndependence and #irishReunification are very long-haul projects - they should get there eventually on current trajectory, but not anytime soon. I doubt the current #SNP attempt to turn a UK/Holyrood election into a #indyRef will work
