Before you say Avi Lewis is speaking in some sort of "extreme" way for the NDP, his position stated today is nearly identical to the one voiced by Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez - of the much more centrist than it sounds "Socialist Party of Spain".

People are just assuming this wasn’t orchestrated by Putin to fund the Iranians who supply Russia with drones and other materiel.
Trump is an insane, but essentially completely malleable, pawn. And Israel is the most predictable of instigators. Neither Putin nor the Iranian regime care about their own citizens being bombed if it means they come out with a win for their empire and standing in the world and the further destruction of the normal world order. They have accomplished that. Bibi and Trump have delivered.
Bibi will probably keep genociding in his own neighbourhood but Trump wants out because he knows he is going to lose the midterms.
Now there will be a new source of funds to siphon from Iran to Russia in the form of cash or materiel to make up for Ukraine’s punishing strikes on Russian oil infrastructure.
Oh you thought Iran will actually use it for reparations? Of course they will use some, but certainly not all. Maybe not even most. Every player in this war is utterly corrupt, tyrannical and irredeemable.
Civilians will always suffer most.

Today Iran launched the longest range ballistic missile ever used in open warfare by (unsuccessfully) attacking Diego Garcia 4000km away in the Indian Ocean.
They also said they were open to attack tourist and other non military places.
That would put Paris, Rome, Athens, Berlin, Dehli, Kyiv, and myriad other places in range.

Here's the uncomfortable part. NATO is cowardly and inept. If that was not true, Ukraine would not still be trying to expel Russia from its territory.
But of course, that's not the context here, and telling your 'friends' they are cowards even when they did in fact come to your aid and spilled blood the one time you asked, is not how you keep those friends.

Nothing really interesting that I saw… but just watching a former President, and Bill Clinton in particular, be asked and answer these questions is riveting all by itself.
