Apple ogłosiło, że ostatnie modele iPod nano i iPod shuffle zostały uznane za przestarzałe, co oznacza koniec pewnej ery.
Siódma generacja iPoda nano oraz czwarta generacja iPoda shuffle, wprowadzone w 2015 roku, są teraz przestarzałe. Apple przestało sprzedawać te modele w 2017 roku.
Dziś przestarzałym został także iPhone 6.
Ponadto, 12-calowy MacBook z 2017 roku i szósta generacja iPada zostały dodane do listy „Vintage” produktów, co oznacza, że ich naprawy są możliwe tylko, jeśli dostępne są części.
Urządzenia uznane za przestarzałe nie są już objęte naprawami w Apple Store, z wyjątkiem wymian baterii w MacBookach przez 10 lat.

My 14 year old iPod Shuffle works beautifully... except for the 45 minute battery life. I'd really love to have a longer battery life, since I use it while walking, and it's rare I walk less than 2 hours a day at the moment.
I have no idea where to start about installing a new battery into this thing. If you have any recs for tutorials and where to order parts for this little project, please let me know!

@JustAnotherJay @TheShaniaRose 😆 I'm in the sharing mood. For me it was majorly iTunes, on Windows. I don't know if they revamped it since, or completely replaced it now with something more competent, but the #iPodShuffle could only be managed through that. And it was such a big bloatware, in the same leagues as Norton.
I ended up giving the #iPodShuffle off to my cousin. Come to think of it, I never asked what happened to it 😆

@TheShaniaRose @JustAnotherJay 😆 this reminded me of my almost opposite experience. My first Apple product was the OG #iPodShuffle. Using and maintaining it was such a PITA for me, I've sworn off Apple products since then.
