So I went to a couple of car meets today and did an A/B/C #shootout on an #iPhone14Pro and #GooglePixel7. All images appear in this sequence:

1. #Halide app on #iPhone 14 Pro, RAW with as many post-processing options turned off as possible
2 iPhone 14 Pro camera app, #ProRAW
3. #Google #Pixel 7, RAW

The photos are mostly images of cars, not people.

All images are shot with the default 1x lens.

All images are imported as .dng into Lightroom and left as-is *except* for Halide shots which are all inexplicably overexposed by around 1.5 stops. For those shots, I manually lowered exposure, but left all other sliders where they were.

Halide produces 12 MP images even when I choose 48 MP. iPhone camera produces 48 MP images. Pixel 7 produces 12 MP images. It’s pretty obvious that the “48 MP” and “50 MP” images are synthesized out of binned-pixel 12 MP sensors. The images uploaded here are downscaled to 1080p jpgs using the same Lightroom settings (sRGB, 95% quality).

Ocena naprawialności iPhone’a 14 została przez serwis iFixit drastycznie obniżona po tym, jak firma wysłuchała opinii konsumentów i niezależnych serwisów.

iFixit przyznało, że nie wzięło pod uwagę ogromnej bariery nałożonej przez samo Apple. Ocena naprawialności telefonu została teraz obniżona z 7/10 do 4/10, co de facto czyni ten telefon – nienaprawialnym.

Oryginalna ocena naprawialności iPhone’a 14 iFixit była stosunkowo wysoka 7/10, a firma świętowała fakt, że telefon otwierał się zarówno z przodu, jak iz tyłu – zmiana projektu, która miała ogromny wpływ na łatwość przeprowadzania napraw – przynajmniej według Apple.

iFixit zapomniało o parowaniu części. Począwszy od iPhone’a 12, Apple wprowadziło praktykę znaną jako parowanie części lub serializacja. Polega ona na tym, że numer seryjny komponentu (takiego jak ekran) jest cyfrowo sparowany z numerem seryjnym samego iPhone’a. Nawet jeśli zamienisz jeden oryginalny komponent Apple na inny, naprawa nie będzie w pełni działać, ponieważ parowanie nie będzie zgodne.

iFixit początkowo nie obwiniał Apple za parowanie części, ponieważ jeśli kupisz część zamienną bezpośrednio od Apple i podasz firmie numer seryjny telefonu, ustawi ona parowanie tak, aby działało po naprawie.

Jednak konsumenci i niezależne warsztaty naprawcze zwróciły uwagę, że powszechnym sposobem na uzyskanie niedrogich napraw jest zbieranie części z uszkodzonych iPhone’ów. I tutaj Apple może (po kontakcie z nimi), ale nie musi – i zazwyczaj tego nie robi – pomóc w poprawnym sparowaniu części.

Tak – to samo dotyczy najnowszych iPhone’ów z linii 15 i 15 Pro i zdecydowanie wpłynie na ocenę ich naprawialności.

Heute geliefert: #Moment #Case für #iPhone14Pro und #AppleWatch #Armband. Auch wenn ich meine Moment Linsen fast nie brauche, da nun alles eigentlich nativ abgedeckt.
