For the first time since I bought my 4s, I bought a case for my phone.

A clear, kinda soft, Insignia brand "hard shell" case.

I don't plan on keeping this phone as long as my last two (about 4.5 years for my 4s, and almost 6 years for the 11 Pro Max pictured above) so I want to get as much trade-in value as I can in the next one or two years when I do upgrade.

The 3Gs was my first iPhone, after the Moto Razr.

Dla posiadaczy tego sprzętu jest to ważna informacja, która zmienia zasady ewentualnych napraw serwisowych.

Zgodnie z oficjalną terminologią Apple, produkt zyskuje status „vintage”, gdy minęło więcej niż pięć lat od momentu, gdy firma zaprzestała jego oficjalnej dystrybucji. W praktyce oznacza to, że autoryzowane serwisy oraz sklepy Apple Store wciąż mogą oferować naprawy takich urządzeń, ale jest to uzależnione od dostępności niezbędnych części zamiennych. Dostęp do serwisu nie jest już gwarantowany.

W przypadku serii 11 ciekawy jest fakt, że na listę trafił jedynie większy model, iPhone 11 Pro Max. Standardowy iPhone 11 Pro na razie zachowuje pełne wsparcie serwisowe, co sugeruje, że był on dłużej dostępny w sprzedaży u partnerów handlowych. Warto jednak uspokoić użytkowników – mimo nowej klasyfikacji, iPhone 11 Pro Max wciąż jest kompatybilny z najnowszym systemem operacyjnym iOS 26, więc od strony oprogramowania pozostaje w pełni funkcjonalny.

Historia Apple Watcha Series 3 jest wyjątkowa ze względu na jego długowieczność. Zegarek, który debiutował we wrześniu 2017 roku, był sprzedawany jako budżetowa opcja aż do września 2022 roku. Sprawiło to, że był on na rynku tak długo, iż jego następca – Apple Watch Series 4 – trafił na listę „vintage” wcześniej. Pod koniec swojej obecności w ofercie, Series 3 był sprzedawany nawet wtedy, gdy Apple testowało już system watchOS 9, który nie był z nim kompatybilny.
