Well, I guess it’s a good thing that I bought those parts from @iFixit
My kid’s iPad finally just stopped charging. So we sat down and did the repair. It was a long and annoying repair because of all the adhesive. But the tools (iOpener and Anti-clamp) from iFixit made it much easier. Once we got the old usb port out, it was very clear this was the right diagnosis (see photos). iPad is now reassembled and happily charging. -
So while on my trip a few weeks ago I dropped my #ipadMini and cracked the screen. Is it worth getting replaced? I hate the idea of discarding it (and the expense of replacing it).
