Apple udostępnia iPadOS 17.7.8

Apple wydało iPadOS 17.7.8 – aktualizację przeznaczoną dla użytkowników starszych iPadów, którzy nie mogą zainstalować nowego systemu iPadOS 18.

iPadOS 17.7.8 pojawił się krótko po tym, jak Apple przestało podpisywać wersję 17.7.7, która sprawiała problemy z logowaniem do aplikacji. Nowa aktualizacja prawdopodobnie rozwiązuje ten problem.

Według informacji od Apple, iPadOS 17.7.8 zawiera istotne poprawki bezpieczeństwa i jest zalecany dla wszystkich użytkowników. Aktualizację można pobrać z poziomu Ustawienia > Ogólne > Uaktualnienia oprogramowania na zgodnych urządzeniach: iPad 6. generacji, iPad Pro 10,5 cala oraz iPad Pro 12,9 cala 2. generacji.

As much as I like Stage Manager in iOS 17, there’s one thing that drive me nuts - you can’t access it from the Home Screen. You can’t even it see it from the Home Screen.

Ledwie dzień od pojawienia się oficjalnych aktualizacji systemów Apple udostępnia deweloperom nowe bety.

W przypadku większości systemów – nie ma znaczących zmian. Jednak w iOS 17.3 pojawiła się nowa, ciekawa funkcja zwiększająca ochronę dostępu do naszych danych w przypadku kradzieży telefonu.

Ochrona Skradzionego Urządzenia (ang. Stolen Device Protection) to funkcja przydatna szczególnie w wypadku nie tylko samej kradzieży, ale również znajomości kodu dostępu przez złodzieja. Dzięki jej włączeniu zastosowane zostaną dodatkowe zabezpieczenia:

• dostęp do zapisanych haseł, wyłączenie trybu zagubionego telefonu, wymazywanie iPhone'a oraz korzystanie z Apple Pay będzie działać wyłącznie z Face ID;
• zmiana ustawień Apple ID, zmiana kodu dostępu/Face ID, wyłączenie funkcji Znajdź itp. będą możliwe po upłynięciu godziny od momentu ich wywołania.

Oba warianty powyższych zabezpieczeń będą się załączać wyłącznie poza znanymi przez iPhone'a miejscami jak dom lub miejsce pracy, więc nie powinno to uprzykrzać życia w standardowych sytuacjach, gdy sami będziemy chcieli wprowadzić jakieś zmiany.

Oprócz powyższej funkcji, w pierwszej becie iOS 17.3 pojawiła się zapowiadana w Apple Music funkcja – kolaboracja.

Getting increasingly frustrated with #ipados17; it has some great new features, but now not only are the rich text actions in Shortcuts still busted, I'm now randomly having my iPad stop detecting keyboard input from my Magic Keyboard until I reboot the iPad. Never had any of these issues with #iPadOS16
