Wczoraj wieczorem Apple udostępniło kilka kolejnych aktualizacji przeznaczonych do instalacji na urządzeniach, które nie są wspierane przez najnowsze systemy.
A chodzi konkretnie o poniższe aktualizacje:
- iOS 16.7.14
- iPadOS 16.7.14
- macOS 11.7.11
- watchOS 10.6.2
- watchOS 9.6.4
- watchOS 6.3.1
Aktualizacja iOS jest skierowana głównie dla użytkowników z Australii. Naprawia możliwość korzystania z połączeń alarmowych.
Z kolei pozostałe aktualizacje zapewniają dalsze wsparcie usług iMessage i FaceTime na starszych urządzeniach.
Apple po raz kolejny pokazuje, że nie zapomina o użytkownikach korzystających ze starszych sprzętów.

Getting increasingly frustrated with #ipados17; it has some great new features, but now not only are the rich text actions in Shortcuts still busted, I'm now randomly having my iPad stop detecting keyboard input from my Magic Keyboard until I reboot the iPad. Never had any of these issues with #iPadOS16
Really hoping for a polish run on this OS and that they keep the scope under control for iPadOS 18, because I still overall really like working on my iPad. #apple #ipad

I have two #iPadPro models: 1st (①) and 2nd (②) gen. ① is now mainly a second monitor (#DuetDisplay).
Today, I wanted to take notes (#Notability) while reading on ②. I usually use split screen, but thought, why not try it with ①?
Turns out I like writing much better on ①!
Without a camera bump I don't need a case, so it's very thin. The thick edge on ② plus the necessary case is uncomfortable.
It's a real shame that ① is near obsolete, not accepting any OS after #iPadOS16.

Wczoraj wieczorem Apple udostępniło pomniejsze aktualizacje swoich systemów – iOS 16.6.1, iPadOS 16.6.1, watchOS 9.6.2 oraz macOS Ventura 13.5.2.
Choć oficjalne informacje o dzisiejszych aktualizacjach nie mówią zbyt dużo – wiemy z nich, że poprawiają bezpieczeństwo i są zalecane dla wszystkich, to ze strony wsparcia Apple możemy się dowiedzieć, co konkretnie było załatane.
W przypadku watchOS, iOS i iPadOS naprawiona została luka, która mogła być wykorzystana do przesłania złośliwego kodu w aplikacji Portfel.
Drugi wyłapany błąd w zabezpieczeniach dotyczy obrazków, w których mogły być zawarte szkodliwe treści. Taka możliwość mogła wystąpić w macOS Ventura, iOS i iPadOS.
Jak widać, są to luki, które dość poważnie zagrażają bezpieczeństwu, dlatego warto za namową Apple dokonać jak najszybszej aktualizacji systemów na naszych iUrządzeniach.

Dziś wieczorem Apple udostępniło tzw. pilne uaktualnienia systemów obsługujących iPhone'y, iPady oraz Maki.
Pilne uaktualnienia mają na celu załatanie poważnych błędów w zabezpieczeniach bez potrzeby aktualizacji całego systemu. Dzięki temu mogą być wydane bardzo szybko.
Tak właśnie jest w tym przypadku. Aktualizacje iOS 16.5.1 (a), iPadOS 16.5.1 (a) oraz macOS Ventura 13.4.1 (a) łatają dziurę w WebKit, która pozwalała na wykonywanie zewnętrznego kodu, jak możemy dowiedzieć się ze strony wsparcia Apple.
W związku z tym warto jak najszybciej zainstalować te uaktualnienia na własnych urządzeniach.
