  4. Xcode unit testing doesn't offer a programmatic interface to `xcrun simctl`, does it? I suppose I can make one easily enough, using `Process` and `Pipe`, but I was hoping for an Apple-sanctioned way.

    There’s [this](github.com/ctreffs/SwiftSimctl), but it adds some complexity because you have to ensure the server is running.
