Apple przestaje wspierać kopie zapasowe urządzeń z iOS 8

Apple ogłosiło, że od 18 grudnia 2024 roku iCloud przestanie wspierać kopie zapasowe na urządzeniach z iOS 8 i starszymi wersjami systemu.

Informację te firma przekazała klientom drogą mailową. Dotychczasowe kopie zapasowe zostaną usunięte, chyba że urządzenie zostanie zaktualizowane do iOS 9 lub nowszego.

Masz takie urządzenie? (np. starego iPoda)?

• Zaktualizuj system: Jeśli to możliwe, przejdź na iOS 9 lub nowszy.
• Wykonaj lokalną kopię zapasową ręczne za pomocą Maca (macOS Catalina lub nowszy) lub komputera PC, korzystając z aplikacji Finder, iTunes lub Apple Devices.

iOS 8 ma już 10 lat, więc nie ma się co dziwić, że firma (z jakiś powodów) zdecydowała się na taki ruch. Od razu zaznaczę, że nie sądzę, aby było to celowe działanie, zwłaszcza, że pozostała opcja lokalnego backupu.
