I just spent the last few minutes going through and changing all of my ringtones and alerts in the IOS 17 beta. I guess I appreciate Apple given me a better audio experience, which I guess makes me no better than those sighted people who appreciate a more appealing visual interface. #Apple #iPhone #IOS17Beta

The good news: replacing an aged #iPhone battery is no big deal, can be done at an #Apple Store, and isn’t expensive.
The bad news: can’t be done if you’re running #ios17beta. Argh!

Of course, nerdery helps. The #ShortcutsApp portion is only possible because of being able to start multiple timers in the #ios17beta.
And it helps that my fellow #AliceIsMissing players are all #obsidian users, so I was able to send them a simple Markdown file so they’d have a way to take notes before we start tomorrow.

@gedeonm I get that too. Seemingly more recently and it’s continued with #iOS17Beta. Maybe it’s something tied up with PhotoStream that they killed off?

A fun #iOS 17 beta bug: there are two voicemails that keep showing as new, and regardless of how many times I go and delete them, they come back. They’re zombie voicemails 😱😆

Sadly I just set my Carrot weather app subscription to not renew. The default #ios17 #ios17beta weather app has improved so much.
I don’t need to pay for snark. I can get that from my family for free.

Question for the #iosdev experts: what’s the best approach for documenting weird fit and finish issues with the new #ios17beta?
I have used feedback for serious bugs, but in this case I (thankfully) haven’t experienced anything egregious in #ios17

The new Standby feature coming to iOS17 really is a great addition. I have it set to different faces depending on which room/magsafe charger it’s on. This is my living room & only want to see the time.

@bigzaphod Weather in #iOS17Beta is far better than the current release version I’m finding. They’ve fixed a ton of stuff.

Ah, I see that Public Beta 2 should be out later this week. Good. Because this here Public Beta 1 definitely has a few bugs. Only annoyances, thankfully. Nothing show stopping.

Some of my favorite new features in #iOS17 are in the #AppleReminders app. The addition of sections and “column view” (aka Kanban board) make apple reminders a powerful app for managing projects. #ios17beta #Apple #iphone #productivity

Personal Voice on iOS 17 definitely hits the uncanny valley nerve. My wife was quick to tell me to stop using it cause it was freaking her out 😂

Good morning all. Here’s a question for all you #iOS17Beta testers.
Is your #Crossfade working ok in #AppleMusic or is it buggy ……or am I using wrong.
I have set to 6 seconds , however regardless of the amount set from 1-12 the track stops & I have the pause until next song starts.
Does this work for music already in your library , or is it just if you’re playing/streaming from Apple Music.
Or am I holding it wrong ?
