🚢 Vier Wissenschaftler:innen der Uni Innsbruck befinden sich gerade auf einem japanischen Tiefseebohrschiff. Sie analysieren Bodenproben aus einer Tiefe von über 7600 Metern unter dem Meeresspiegel, um u.a. Erkenntnisse über Meeresbeben und dort lebende Mikroorganismen zu gewinnen.

There is a new program (#IODP3) in the works, but it's a much smaller dream.
