This is not a very easy period for me. Even though I try to stay positive, I have worries and things that keep me tense, so my mind often looks for an escape toward more positive thoughts.
The BSD Cafe, the illumos Cafe, the wonderful friends from the Fediverse and the BSD community, and many of them also in real life. Because for me the digital world and the physical one are closely interconnected. And that's fantastic.
That is exactly why I am not ashamed to say that today, when I arrived at the office to meet the insurance adjuster, I found a package waiting for me. I already knew part of what was inside, but two other items, the ones in the photo here, even though the chocolates were not for me but for my wife, were a surprise. They were unexpected and I admit I was moved while opening it.
Thank you. Truly, thank you. Because I do not need AI telling me I am right even when I am wrong, but human beings whose warmth can be felt even across many, many, many kilometers.

@freemo Will be re-reading this thread over and over today as obviously I am or was rather oblivious / lost - it's kind of concerning and seems easily common.
I think this is something worthy to do and what QOTO could be good at as a mor dedicated server - making a business of kindly hammering back people's wrong thoughts / training them to think better / methods / spotting holes in thought and helping people come out of what is like a skipped record much like rascism against Capitalism rather blindly.
So just a quick read and reply about that. I'll try work on it but seem all needs a "complete re-build" as my "thought engine" or way I do things!! Shocking yes! But thanks.. :)
Another quick mention is that, mentioning the previous person (and perhaps bashing a bit) seems kinda asking for trouble :) or at least could remove the @ because it was obvious they didn't want to talk to you and you knew already their level so could weigh the potential by not encouraging or removing @ in name as I knew who you meant... (would've be enough to say their name without sending them notification message basically). But anyway you know best but is just as a kind of consideration of the usage of your time I know you value and what the person said already... :)
2/ ... I have to conclude as a bigger point from that that you / freemo does want to teach / educate people genuinely!
(This is great / it's great value / worthy time and helps people)
So I'd like you to do that as your business / full time work which you do somewhat but more officially. The change and quality of people is very tangible (other work people do doesn't really change people and we're left with same-same of even crap people like me, so that is somewhat a big potential). People honestly pay for being told how they are wrong lol...
So I think we need to invest in people more personally / manually to adjust back what people and systems have leave out to change (people) so we learn how to learn maybe in certain big holes of thought.
Investing in others for real substantial change - person to person (P2P) or QOTO seems perfect as you named it already not me! And just need something around it.
A business model / eco-system around that would be so cool and your tendencies seem to match / reflect that - even if it's not the main thing but you are the Captain naturally it seems to go diving with or making some kind of better school!
The eventual product being better people in the world / more examples of how to get there / learning on steroids or more directly more personal whipping of people which is what the world wants / needs instead of being left to their own echo chambers / twitter system.
It's something I've said before but just comes around again and gain so seems so natural and aligned already to the morality you hold and demonstrate (so many time seen you list things well) so what better to spread QOTO and re-use that!
The business of making better people / assisting things...

Truth is you don't know a lot and can't...
because it's all so distant and deliberately remote - so the answer is to do things you are also more sure of yourselves...
because:
- you were not there for a lot of history which is a rolling history hard to catch up on all the contexts
- someone else told you something - and even while some truth has many perspectives.
- people are paid to say things
- people are paid to be silent too when signing NDA's (Non-Disclosure Agreements)
- it's almost all opinion
- It's not always relative to you directly - so although you might care, when you're in another country, the news isn't always relative - so #Trump #ElonMusk #AlexJones #Bezos news is just a #shitshow it's own bubble even if they promise global domination - just there's a limit.
- a lot is almost only hype and simply spread so other people cam spread it and occupy time and drive up eye-balls 👀 and adverts 📶 (people like you maybe
- A lot asn't happened or they are gauging response and resistance to it and may not happen in the way people are told / advertised / voting for
- there is a lot of #fuckery from who or where information comes from...
And much more...
And to conclude...
sticking to yourself WHILE being aware is more tangibly going to fix things because it's what your mind and body can touch and do... and that eventually fixes things if others do things also a bit more from their own power - more than just chasing Trump news (i.e. wasting their time / not using it to further something #positive or #create positive #relationships ...
