My social battery burnt out so bad yesterday I'm barely managing to interact with my partners today. I didn't even want to start writing until well after lunch because I knew there would be conversations in today's scenes.

Socializing and public exhausts me, and I eventually get #overstimulated and #anxious and just need to leave, and find some peace alone.

However I think I am actually an #extrovert and socializing exhausts me due to having to constantly fight my #tourettes related tics, which almost never stop, and I have to focus and put effort into fighting, so I don't seem like a total manic.

So I need a break after a while.

Is there a term for a personality trait(?) that makes a person want to avoid personal pronouns for the self, particularly more than once, in a given message?

Trying to figure out of this is more of a component of being #neurodivergent, #introverted, or something else.

It leads to frequent and unusual sentences that start with the verb instead of a subject, which gets one more side-eye than might be preferred.

Doesn't really extend to others. Just don't like directly referencing myself.

Before we had a child I didn't realise how #introverted I am.

I am an extraverted #introvert, which means that there is an extraverted aspect to my personality that can come out when I have had enough time to recharge my battery while doing introverted things (being alone in a quiet environment, focusing on something).

Before we had a child I usually had plenty of time to do these things, so with my social battery fully charged, I was able to do lots of extraverted things. Both myself and others may have underestimated my introversion in that period.

Having a child means that I have much less time for recreation and that my days are filled with more social interaction than before (going to the playground etc.). So my social battery is rarely well-charged, which means that I hardly ever feel like doing extraverted things. I tend to use all the free time I have for doing introverted things.

Better late on an #introduction than never. I’m no good at them.
