The #Plushtodons were busy #intheshop the last few days. They got the cables carrier put together and stuffed with wires and air lines for the spindle head on the #cnc machine. They also installed a t-nut rail to hold the stops for the z-end stops. Brackets were also #handmade for the cable carrier/chain. The #diy CNC machine is moving along. Up next will be the lubrication system.
The #plushtodons have been a big help.

Got a little work done on the CNC machine today. Before I can run the wiring and the tubing for the lubrication system I needed to build the enclosure. To make my life easier I decided to use 20x20 T-nut profile tubing. It went together quickly.
The rest of the enclosure will have plexiglas windows. It will be nice to see this thing making its first moves.

Yesterday, we launched our new shop #website. I spent a little more time on it than I had originally planned to but it is done for now. I may add some more features in the future but it is online and working now.
There were no big issues with the launch so I could go back to work #intheshop. I decided to drive the spindle on my #CNC #machine with a toothed belt to make good use of the servomotor that will power the spindle.
Assembly will be press fit with about 0.035mm interference. #lathe

Well, after a long discussion with my two best employees (Plushtodons) we have decided to no longer accept PayPal payments in our online shop.
This will cost us business, just the same as when we dropped Meta and Co.
We have to make a stand and sometimes this comes with a cost...
We stand with the ICC, EU, Denmark and Greenland!
This is all stupid, Danes are some of the nicest people!

Happy Halloween! (If you partake)
Sometimes everything seems to work out... Today was a good day. I turned out a top-hat for the New drawbar for the CNC mill today. So far, it looks pretty good. Only thing left is the 10mm square nut at the top to mill. I will do that after I turn the threads on the "bar" part of the drawbar.

Today was a busy day. I put the table together for the ShapeOko.
The other day a box arrived with a few goodies for the mini mill. In the box was this adorable little pressure regulator from Festo. It is for the cooling system (fogbuster) to drop the pressure down to 1.5 to 2 bar.
I will be heading to Hannover on Tuesday to visit the EMO. I need to pick up some new tooling for the shop. Maybe I can find a few deals there!

CW: Woodworking upgrade
Upgraded my hand sanding setup to use random orbital sanding discs on the recommendation of my brother in law and it's been a big boost. They remove material more quickly than regular sheets and since they're attached to the block by hook-and-loop, there's less hand fatigue from holding the sandpaper in place.
