  1. "Heartbreaker" is a song by American singer #PatBenatar from her debut studio album #InTheHeatOfTheNight (1979). Written and composed by Geoff Gill and Cliff Wade, the song had first been recorded by English singer #JennyDarren on her 1978 album Queen of Fools, and Benatar adjusted #theOriginal lyrics, as such references as "A to Zed" and "moonraker" would have likely confused American listeners.

  3. The evening’s “live” selection doubling as the nighty night jam: a favorite from Pat Benatar off her first album that hubby Neal Geraldo came up with at the last minute because, the story goes, with the album all but finished, the record label wanted one more tune for the album. One thing I always liked about it was it showcases just a bit of her opera vocal training.

  4. Another Drumpf parallel from Hollywood that turned out to be creepily accurate: In the Heat of the Night S6 E16-17, a blond racist politician that wants to be president has a man killed because he had incriminating documents about his private life #inTheHeatOfTheNight #usPol #usPolitics

  5. A nighty night jam: would hear this one late at night - like now at bedtime - on WIFC/Wausau, Wisconsin, shortly after Pat Benatar’s first album was released in late August, 1979, around the time I began my sophomore year in high school. Always liked this one more than “Heartbreaker.”

  6. If you've ever wondered what a sultry, steamy summer night in the deep South sounds like, this is it: this is the sound.

    Morgen dann #MississippiBurning...

  9. His career was absolutely amazing and one of the songs he composed for a movie just happens to be the theme for one of my all time favorite flicks. Rest easy, Quincy.

  10. This evening’s “live” selection here on deck: it’s one of my favorite Pat Benatar tunes that, according to her hubby, Neil Geraldo, was the last song recorded for her 1979 album. “Heartbreaker” was the big one off that album, of course, but this one also got plenty of airplay back then and didn’t do too badly chart-wise. PB was 69 years old when this was recorded and she can still display some of that operatic background.

  12. And just like that, Pat Benatar is 71 today. “Heartbreaker” got most of the attention off her debut album back in late ‘79 but I kinda always liked this little number.

  13. I guess now I have to listen to the theme song while I unload the groceries, don't I?

    Yes, yes I do, y'all.
